how to make a simple depiction

Using the pencil tool on the left and select a color (from the color choices at the top of the screen) and draw what you would like your character to look like. If you make a mistake you can use the eraser tool to the left or the clear button at the bottom to clear the drawing. You can also use the shape tools to the left to make a circle or a rectangle. The picture at the top right of the Depiction Editor window shows how the agent will actually look inside the worksheet window. Click the DONE button at the bottom of the window when you are finished. You have now figured out what the agent looks like. After you click DONE, at any time If you are still not satisfied with how the agent looks, you can come back to the Depiction Editor and modify the picture.

how to make a 2.5D depiction

In a 2D game with a birds eye view such as Frogger it may be useful to draw some depictions in 2.5D. Add some depth to your depiction by not only drawing the top of the object but also slanted sides. At low image resolutions it is typically best to slant at a 45 degree angle, i.e., diagonal pixels. Notice that this slanting was applied not only to the side of the truck but also the tires. Adding a subtle drop shadow may increase the "stick out" 2.5D effect.

how to import images from other places

AgentSheets allows you to import an image for an agent depiction rather than draw one from scratch. To do this go to the file drop down menu and select import image.

Navigate to the image on your computer and select it. To import, the images must have the extension .jpg, .gif, or .png. The resolution of the AgentSheets depiction might be less than your picture (meaning your picture will probably look grainy and pixellated). Look at the top right image of the depiction editor to see how the image will actually look in the worksheet.
