Computational Thinking Patterns |
This program simulates a male (red) and female (blue) roommate. They each develop needs/wants at different rates based on gross stereotypes (ie: men want more entertainment and food, women want more social interaction and eat less), and then seek to fulfill those desires. Letters appear on their icons indicating what their current goal is: T = talking; E = Eating; F = Fun. There is a kitchen table in the bottom of the apartment and a television in the top. When one talks to the other, it adjusts the social need of both, though if one is not actively seeking social interaction, it doesn't adjust it as much. Hunger will override all other desires; but in all other cases, they will perform a task until they have been satisfied (socializing or watching television). One of the really interesting things about this is that I can see a strikingly human-like relationship between the two agents.
